FIR-First interview report

(My First interview report OR should I say First-hand interview report)




Here are few thoughts that came to me before the interview:

1) When I heard there is an interview, First Reaction: what the hell?? Why?? Why not call it a chat??


2) No info: As the main info about the interview was not revealed, I did not know what to expect.. Are Raghus and Chinnappas going to come?? Will I have to do tasks?? Are you shooting this interview, and broadcasting in some channel?? Even if I go fully prepared to any Viva in a particular subject, the person asking me the question always seemed to have an upper hand in the proceedings. Without any preparations, what the hell am I going to do??


3) Is it a Formal \ casual interview??: With the kind of efforts being put in by the volunteers, I knew that they could surprise me (In the end, they did).I imagined quite many of them. The worst one-

Was the one in which I was escorted by an assistant into the office of the principal of SDM. There was no one there. The assistant left the room. I occupied my seat and was waiting. Suddenly, the door in the side of the room creaked open (It is an old college.)With the back-ground score of Karthik calling Karthik (The theme song, BTW, Great music), in entered BAWA and some grumpy-looking guy (No, not Dinesh Bhaiyya).He looked at me and gave me a half-smile. After settling down, Grumpy guy asked me my name. After hearing my reply, I think I saw a twinkle in Bawa’s eyes, like the one I had seen Lions’ eyes, when they find a prey. Rest of the interview was fast-forwarded by me, by seeing the horror in my own eyes. What happened in Rest of the interview was basically me getting blasted away by Bawa, Grumpy guy simply stared at me (Even after my calls for help, you know, Isharon Isharon se). It looked as if I had slumped into the chair, mumbling very, very short answers (could be yes/no). After the whole ordeal, I stumbled my way out of the office, (Now the background score was Jag jab soona lage from Om Shanthi Om). From getting snapped to getting lashed, It was my most terrible minutes (Self confidence hitting an all time low).After coming out of SDM, I went to Rajasthani Sweets (Food can get back confidence, something about proteins and vitamins) singing Hum honge kamiyab...

Should I go in my casuals or should I go in complete formals, with a file with my Bio-data and stuff??

4) Interview board?? Who is in the Board??: Obviously when you hear this, you are bound to think this is to professional stuff. The people in the interview board are the people certified to interrogate people (Torturing bhi??). If its going to be strangers, after initial courtesy and name telling (calling names in mind if they are horrible in the end!!), you can actually tell them all your bad points/weakness very openly. If they select me, later on, when they interact with me obviously they will see my good-side and will be very fond of me as I did not hide weakness like a Warrior. If I know the person to whom I tell my weakness, obviously when in future (Or they may go to the past) they see me in a bad situation, Alarm bells will ring in their brains and their brains start analyzing my situation and me.



After being interviewed, I believe I will never be able to get such a awesome interviewer and a cool interview outcome (Lassi thanda tha, and sis payed for it)..
